Hi, I’m Amanda — the owner and creative stylist behind Seaside Events. I was born and raised in Cheticamp, Cape Breton, and I’ve always been passionate about weddings. From a young age, I found joy in planning, organizing, and transforming spaces. There was always something magical to me about how candlelight, soft linens, and carefully chosen décor could completely change the feeling of a room.
That passion grew even stronger when I began volunteering with local events in the community. Watching a blank venue come to life through thoughtful design details confirmed what I already knew — this is what I’m meant to do.
Living along the coast has naturally shaped my style. I’m inspired by the soft ocean tones, flowing textures, natural light, and understated elegance that make Cape Breton so special. Whether your vision is timeless and classic, coastal and airy, or modern and refined, my goal is to bring it to life in a way that feels authentic to you.
I understand that wedding planning can quickly become overwhelming. There are so many decisions, so many details, and so much pressure to make everything perfect. That’s where I come in. My role is to remove that stress from you. I take care of the styling and décor so you can focus on the excitement, the celebration, and the meaning behind your day.
From our first consultation to the final candle being placed, I handle the styling details with care, organization, and a calm presence you can trust. When you walk into your venue, I want you to feel emotional in the best way — relaxed, confident, and completely in love with the space around you.
